RF7B-E30 Technical Resources
Review the RF7B-E30 manufacturer data sheet and CAD information for dimensions, finish selection, installation coordination and project submittals.
Why Use RF7B-E30 Resilient Flooring Stair Nosings?
RF7B-E30 combines an anodized-aluminum stair-edge profile, photoluminescent material and silicon-carbide traction in a profile designed to integrate with resilient flooring.
Flush Flooring Integration
Designed to coordinate with resilient, vinyl and other thin flooring assemblies.
Silicon-Carbide Traction
Hard-wearing non-slip material provides a durable pedestrian traction surface.
Photoluminescent Visibility
Provides passive visual stair-edge guidance when normal lighting is reduced.
Anodized Aluminum
Durable aluminum construction designed for commercial stair applications.
How RF7B-E30 Stair Nosings Are Installed
Installation should follow the current Ecoglo® data sheet, approved stair detail and project requirements for the exact model.
Confirm the 90° Profile
Coordinate RF7B with the stair-edge geometry and finished resilient-flooring assembly.
Prepare the Nosing
Use the standard manufacturer length or cut the aluminum profile to the approved project dimension.
Mechanically Fasten
Install using the specified adhesive and mechanical fasteners through the pre-drilled countersunk holes.
Install the Insert
Install the insert over the mechanical fasteners using the specified polyurethane adhesive.
Photoluminescent Stair-Edge Visibility
Ecoglo® photoluminescent material absorbs energy from suitable ambient illumination and remains visibly luminous when normal lighting is reduced.

Passive Visibility Without Power at the Nosing
RF7B-E30 does not require a dedicated electrical connection at the stair edge. The photoluminescent material stores energy from suitable ambient light and releases visible light when illumination is reduced.
RF7B-E30 Commercial Applications
The series is intended for resilient-flooring stair assemblies in commercial and specification-driven environments.
Resilient-flooring stairs in office, retail and mixed-use properties.
High-traffic education facilities using resilient stair finishes.
Institutional stair assemblies requiring durable, maintainable edges.
Specification-driven municipal and government construction.
Heavy-use public stairs where resilient flooring is specified.
Projects requiring coordinated profiles, finishes and technical submittals.

Frequently Asked Questions About RF7B-E30 Stair Nosings
Series-level answers for architects, contractors, estimators and procurement teams comparing Ecoglo® RF7B-E30 photoluminescent resilient-flooring stair nosings.
What is the Ecoglo® RF7B-E30 series?
RF7B-E30 is a family of photoluminescent anodized-aluminum stair nosings designed for resilient and thin flooring assemblies. The RF7B profile uses a 90° stair-edge geometry.
Which RF7B-E30 models are available?
The series includes RF7B171 Black, RF7B161 Gray and RF7B151 Yellow. Each uses the same RF7B-E30 profile with a different anti-slip insert color.
What flooring is RF7B-E30 designed for?
RF7B-E30 is designed for flush installation with resilient flooring, including vinyl and other thin flooring assemblies.
What lengths are available?
Standard manufacturer lengths are 8 FT and 10 FT. Cut-to-length options are also available with an approximately ±1/8-inch published tolerance.
What aluminum finishes are available?
Clear Anodized Aluminum is the standard finish. Ecoglo® also identifies Black, Light Bronze and Dark Bronze anodized finishes as optional additional-cost choices.
Is the insert color the same as the aluminum finish?
No. Black, Gray and Yellow identify the anti-slip insert color. The aluminum extrusion has a separate anodized finish selection.
Does RF7B-E30 use a replaceable insert?
Yes. The insert is supplied separately from the aluminum extrusion and is installed over the mechanical fasteners using polyurethane adhesive.
How is RF7B-E30 installed?
RF7B-E30 is designed for flush installation with resilient flooring using adhesive and mechanical fasteners through pre-drilled countersunk holes.
Can RF7B-E30 be cut on site?
The aluminum nosing can be cut with an appropriate saw, while the insert can be cut with a shear. The abrasive insert should not be cut with the saw because it can damage the blade.
Does RF7B-E30 require electricity or batteries?
No dedicated electrical connection or battery is required at the nosing. The photoluminescent material is energized by suitable ambient illumination.
Can RF7B-E30 be used outdoors?
Ecoglo® identifies the aluminum stair-nosing system for indoor and outdoor use and reports UV/weathering testing. Project-specific suitability should still be verified.
What technical resources are available?
RF7B-E30 resources include the manufacturer data sheet and architectural CAD information for product selection, design coordination and submittals.
What should I provide when requesting an RF7B-E30 quote?
Provide the selected model and insert color, quantities, required lengths, aluminum finish, project location and requested delivery timing if known.
